According to PEP News, in a press conference held on 19 October, Arender stated that he has watched Mendoza's Dubsmash clip after a friend from California told him about her.
"I can't help but laugh constantly watching those clips," he said. "I don't understand anything but the facial expression alone is amazing!"
Arender, who produced Harold Arlen's "The Wonderful Wizard of Song" on Broadway, stated that an artiste's most important job is to bring joy to people and make them happy, and that Mendoza had done just that fantastically.
"I want to meet up with the people managing her career," said Arender, who expressed his interest in producing a musical just for Mendoza.

My ultimate dream for Maine is for her to do that Broadway musical whenever she's ready. That will give her the opportunity to showcase her talent in an international venue. She's a one class act unfolding gradually to her supportive audience. Just like Shea Arender we believe in her talents, she deserves a big break.
