'Gilmore Girls' Revival: Mae Whitman Cast, Sutton Foster Cries and Rory's Exes Debate 'Batman v Superman'

So much Gilmore Girls excitement!

As the fan-favorite WB series prepares to return to screens in a four-part Netflix series, the cast and crew are sharing some truly epic teasers to get Gilmore fangirls super excited to return to Stars Hollow.

First, there was the amazing news that Mae Whitman, a.k.a. Lauren Graham's other TV daughter, will appear on the revival. Netflix confirmed to ET that the 27-year-old "will appear" in the series, though no other details about her role are available at this time.

Probably no one was more thrilled about the casting news than Whitman herself, who excitedly shared this photoshopped "official cast pic" when the revival was announced back in January.

Younger star Sutton Foster is also set to appear in the new episodes, and the actress -- who starred in Gilmore Girls writer and executive producer Amy Sherman-Palladino's ABC Family series Bunheads -- recently admitted to Entertainment Weekly that her "surreal" experience filming with Lauren Graham caused her to "burst into tears" after their scene.

"It was a nerd-fest for us both, and her scenes are bonkers fantastic," Graham tweeted in response.
