Retired footballer and sports pundit Jamie Redknapp has admitted he would love to see his young sons follow in his footsteps.
Jamie and his wife Louise Redknapp have two children – 11-year-old Charley and seven-year-old Beau. His own father is Harry Redknapp, a former footballer and club manager.
He said: “I’d love them to be a footballer. I could lie and say, ‘Oh yeah no, whatever, as long as they’re happy’. But I would love them to be footballers.”
Jamie, 42, added: “My oldest one loves his rugby and his cricket. The little one is okay, he likes his football.
“But it’s very difficult. It’s getting harder and harder. For them to be a footballer would be a million to one.”
