Claire King has revealed that she’s worried she may be cut from Coronation Street when new producer Kate Oates takes over.
Claire, who plays Erica Holroyd, has admitted that she has fears Kate will make her Corrie mark by axing key characters - especially after her work on Emmerdale, which she transformed during her five years there.

Voicing her concerns about her future on the cobbled streets of Weatherfield, Claire told The Mirror: “I don’t know if I will be safe. They always like to put their own stamp on things, I have been around the block a few times so I know how it works.
“It will be fine if she feels the character does not work. We are all self-employed and you adapt and change when things happen.”
She added: “We have all seen what she has done with Emmerdale. We all think she will be a great asset for Corrie.”
Claire has starred in Coronation Street since 2014.
