If your only memory of having a bra fitting is your mum shoving you in a Marks and Sparks changing room with a frumpy lady sporting a measuring tape and half moon glasses, it’s definitely time to go again.
“But I know my bra size! Don’t send me back to the frumpy lady - she has cold fingers and opens the curtain too quickly, ” we hear you wail.
But did you know throughout your life the size and shape of your breasts change? According to experts at Wonderbra it’s vital you’re fitted regularly, especially if you’re trying out a new brand or style.

Emily Botham, Wonderbra Fitting Expert says: “It is important to wear the right size bra, not just for comfort and support, but also to give you a better silhouette under your clothes. A correctly fitted bra will give you increased confidence, and you will look and feel great.”
So how do you know if you’re wearing the right bra size? Look out for the following:
Straps: should sit firmly on your shoulders and be adjusted to give by a few centimetres but not dig into your skin.
Cups: should fully encase your breasts with no overspill. The underwire should sit behind the breast tissue, on the ribs.
Back: You should only be able to fit a few fingers underneath the band which should be worn on the loosest fastening as the bra will naturally stretch over time.

What if you can’t find your size in a style you like?
Experts over at Wonderbra say: “Whilst wearing your usual size would be best, it is possible to move up or down to your ‘sister size’. Therefore, if you go down a back size, you need to go up a cup size and vice versa. For example, if you usually wear a 36D you will also fit into a 34DD.”
