Actor James Reid has denied allegations of being a womaniser, following the release of a 15-second clip of him socialising with some friends, including two women, while seemingly drunk.
As reported on PEP News, following criticisms from netizens, who bashed the actor for disrespecting his girlfriend, Nadine Lustre, and not showing a good example for younger fans, the actor recently clarified that all the people seen in the said video are his friends.
"They are all my friends. Nadine knows them too. She really doesn't mind," he said.
The actor stressed that his relationship with Lustre remains strong despite their hectic schedules.
"With everything that has been happening, the concert tour, everything, actually nothing really changed between us. I know her inside out after being friends for three years," he said.
Meanwhile, ABS-CBN News reported that the actress has defended Reid against his critics regarding the aforementioned clip.
"He is not a playboy," she said, stressing that she knew all of his friends.
She also stated that their relationship is not and will not just be a temporary thing.
"If people don't want to believe it, that's up to them. What's more important is that James and I know what is real and what is true. That's what important," said Lustre.
