But in a new photoshoot for Vanity Fair, she’s taken things to the next level and quite literally set her nether regions on fire. Well, that’s what it looks like anyway. We’re 90 per cent sure it’s just a Photoshoot jobby.
In the snap, shot by the legendary Annie Liebovitz, Amy poses in a “No Coffee, No Workee” T-shirt, without a scrap of underwear in sight. Instead, the star’s crotch is on fire - bringing “new meaning to ‘it’s lit’,” says the magazine.
Who’s idea was the off-the-wall shoot? Amy’s, naturally.
“I begged Annie to photograph me with no underwear on in just a t-shirt,” Schumer tells Vanity Fair in the interview. “I explained to her how important it was to me and she finally agreed. I felt powerful and beautiful. She understood once we shot it. Or maybe she ran to the bathroom to throw up. It was one of the most meaningful moments of my life.”
We doubt Annie was all that surprised by Amy’s idea for the shoot. She’s shot the comedian, actress and author in the buff before for the Pirelli calendar last year.
The shoot’s have unveiled just a couple of weeks after the star was seemingly called “plus-size” by another publication.
“I think there’s nothing wrong with being plus size,” Schumer wrote on Instagram. “Beautiful healthy women. Plus size is considered size 16 in America. I go between a size 6 and an 8. @glamourmag put me in their plus size only issue without asking or letting me know and it doesn’t feel right to me. Young girls seeing my body type thinking that is plus size? What are your thoughts? Mine are not cool glamour not glamourous.”
