According to Chloe, despite only going 'official’ for a few months, the couple have actually been dating on the sly for a couple of years – but wanted to keep it all a secret.

During an appearance on The Talk this week, Chloe revealed that they’d been on and off for a while:
“Well, we’ve been off and on together for a couple of years now, and we just kind of made it official.”
“We were always running from people taking pictures of us. And we were like, 'You know what? It’s affecting our relationship. We weren’t able to go to the restaurants we wanted to go to or just go to a movie.”
"And so we thought, 'You know what? If we’re more upfront about it and we break down the iron curtain and we just let them take our photo, they’re not going to care’.”

Chloe decided to finally confirm their relationship on the US show 'Watch What Happens Live’ earlier this month, after she took part in a game of ‘Plead the Fifth’ with host Andy Cohen.
The long-running segment places celebrities in the hot seat as they’re presented with three questions, designed to get lips twitching and cheeks blushing.
This time around Cohen moved in on Moretz’ relationship status, explaining: “Last time you were here, I asked you about your relationship with Brooklyn Beckham,” he said. “You were like, ‘Uh, we’re friends.’”
To which, the star candidly responded: “We’re in a relationship. It’s fine. It’s no biggie. And I think that, you know, the more I don’t make it mysterious, the more that people don’t care.“
"So yes, we’re in a relationship.”
