Emilia Clarke proud of GoT nude scenes

Emilia Clarke is "proud" to have stripped off for Game of Thrones.

Much is made of the nude scenes in the fantasy drama, with one of its stars Lena Headey using a body double for her vulnerable moments. Before people assume Emilia, 29, did the same with hers, like when her alter ego Daenerys Targaryen emerged naked from flames at the end of the recent series six episode four, she insists it's all her.

“I’d like to remind people the last time I took my clothes off was season three (in 2013),” she told Entertainment Weekly. “That was awhile ago. It’s now season six. But this is all me, all proud, all strong. I’m just feeling genuinely happy I said ‘Yes.’ That ain’t no body double!"

“Taking off my clothes is not the easiest thing, but with the magic of the effects, I don’t have to do a season one and go on a cliff and do it. I’m in control of it,” she added of the first time she didn't wear any clothes in the show.

It was a closed shoot in Belfast, Northern Ireland, for the fire scene, and Emilia was happy with the set up as her character surprised everyone by escaping a terrible fate.

Sex scenes in the programme are another popular topic, especially after the actress' words were twisted last year to make out that she hated them. She eventually took to social networking app Instagram to explain her comments, and touched upon the confusion further during her chat with Entertainment Weekly.

“It’s difficult to be misquoted and it’s nice to have something like Instagram to say the truth,” she added. “How many times has Michiel Huisman (who plays Daario) been asked about the fact he’s taken his clothes off a bunch? Is that even a discussion? No. So I’m doing it this year and people can talk about it and I’m ready to answer any questions about it, basically.”
