Congratulations to England football star Jack Wilshere who has announced his engagement to Andriani Michael. The 24-year-old popped the question to Andriani – the daughter of his barber – at her surprise 25th birthday party at the weekend, and later confirmed the happy news on Instagram.
"This weekend the beautiful @andriani_m made me the luckiest man in the world and said yes!," he wrote alongside a photo of the couple together. "Couldn't be happier… love you fiancée."
It's been a big week for Arsenal player Jack. On Monday it was revealed that he had made it into Roy Hodgson's 26-man squad for this summer's European Championship in France. A source told the Mirror, "It's very much a double celebration after Jack made Roy Hodgson's squad. The pair of them are over the moon."
Jack and Andriani were first linked last summer following his split from girlfriend Lauren Neal, with whom he has two children, Archie, three and 21-month-old Delilah.
Jack is clearly smitten with his beautiful future wife, sharing a number of loved-up snaps on social media. Last year, he praised Adriani for helping him through his injury troubles, writing: "When nothing seems to be going your way, it's important to have people around you that love you… but more importantly, the one you love."
He added: "She's keeping me going. Hopefully be back soon Gooners to help the team! I miss you all."
