Farhan and Shahid are the new BFFs in town

They are an unlikely pair but the camaraderie between actors Farhan Akhtar and Shahid Kapoor is unmistakable. The two are all set to host the IIFA Awards, this year in Madrid. When Farhan was asked about being paired with Shahid, the former made his pleasure evident. 

“I am excited and I am looking forward to it. Shahid and I have had a wonderful time on the past two occasions that we have hosted the show. We share a certain ease and chemistry. I am happy to be co-hosting IIFA with him,” he said.

When asked, if we would see the chemistry between the two in a movie soon, he replied, “Certainly, if a director comes up with a script with the both of us in mind I will do it.” A director himself, with hit movies such as Don, Dil Chahta Hai and Lakshya, under his belt, why doesn’t he plan a script with Shahid? “It’s very difficult for me to come up with projects keeping myself in mind. If someone suggest the idea I can produce it but not direct,” he said.

Talking about preparations he revealed that he has started working with script writers to come up with something interesting. “It’s a hard task. Though we have script writers, we still have to personalise it, make it cool and contemporary and also infuse our kind of humour,” he quipped.

Farhan’s recent picture on Instagram also shows that he is quite fond of Shahid. Recently he put a picture of his with the IIFA team and captioned it: Missing you Pappu @shahidkapoor… #KabHogaMilan.
