Over the last couple of days, the rumour mill has been incessantly buzzing that Uday Chopra has parted ways with his GF, Nargis Fakhri. Reportedly, it was being said that post the breakup, Nargis left for the US, as she suffered a ‘nervous breakdown.’ However, the actress later released an official statement and trashed the news. She cited her ill-health as the reason to take a long break.
Off late, the news has been doing the doing the rounds that Uday called off his relationship over a WhatsApp message.
Amidst all these, Uday finally released an official statement today in which he clarified that he and Nargis are still close friends and called the stories around the two as 'untrue.’
Uday said, 'I normally don’t respond to gossip, but the press has been reporting a lot of fiction disguised as fact. I would just like to clarify that Nargis and I have been and still are very close friends. The press has done a wonderful job of creating stories out of thin air and I applaud their creativity. However these are all untrue.“
