The Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai controversy that broke out between Shilpa Shinde and producer Binaefer Kohli finally ended with the actress being ousted from the show. This must have been a severe blow to Shilpa who once claimed that Bhabi Ji… would shut down without her.
In the process, she also rubbed CINTAA (Cine & Television Artistes Association) the wrong way, with the body coming close to placing a lifetime ban on her.
However, she tried her best to appear unaffected by both – losing the show to Shubhangi Atre and her run-in with CINTAA.
In fact, Shilpa went one step further and claimed that she is not interested in television any longer (Shilpa Shinde: I am not interested in acting in TV shows anymore, May 2).
And looks like she is sticking to her guns.
SpotboyE has it that Shilpa has given her nod to a web initiative for SABGroup and hopes to make a splash with her return.
The online show is yet another comedy with the actress as one of the protagonists. We hear, Shilpa has already signed on the dotted line and is currently shooting for the pilot episode.
It’s interesting that she has signed on a web initiative when she was flooded with TV offers. She was approached by makers of The Kapil Sharma Show as well as Comedy Nights Bachao (Shilpa Shinde offered Kapil Sharma’s rival show Comedy Nights Bachao, Apr 22), but had turned down both of them.
So it won’t be Shilpa on your TV screens any longer. The actress has jumped on to the online bandwagon.
But does it mean that she has left television for good? Over to you, Shilpa.
