Chinese actor Li Yifeng recently apologised for violating traffic law by driving with an expired temporary license.
According to Tencent, back on 27 May, the actor was involved in an accident when his Lamborghini crashed into the north side of a bridge pier.
Witnesses, who didn't realise that it was the actor during the accident, claimed that the car owner tried to leave the scene as soon as possible after the police arrived.
His studio had since released a statement saying that they have already resolved the issue with the police, and apologised for Li's expired license.
The studio also explained the accident occurred while the actor was driving to his parents' home to retrieve his passport, as he was scheduled to fly to Morocco to shoot an advertisement.
Meanwhile, the Beijing Traffic Management Bureau stated that it would handle the case according to law.
If found guilty, Li will have to pay the fine of RMB200, and 12 points will be deducted from his license.
