Hong Kong actor Matthew Ko, who has been making his name in mainland China for the past couple of years since leaving TVB, is set to star in a stage play alongside his former colleague, Myolie Wu.
As reported on On CC News, the actor recently expressed his enthusiasm about upcoming stage project, "I Have a Date With Spring", especially the fact that he will be reunited with his former TVB seniors, Myolie Wu and Michael Tse.
"It has been two years since I left TVB. It gave me the sense of familiarity to meet them again," he said.
Matthew also admitted that he is excited to be making his debut as a stage actor, saying, "It's my first time and I am looking forward to trying something new."
In the meantime, the actor is enjoying his fame in the north. Although he was just a supporting actor who couldn't get a break while he was still with TVB, Matthew's career has been on the rise since he moved to China.
Aside from the many film projects that have been coming his way since he joined Hunan TV's "Dancing with the Stars", the actor also has been invited to join the second season of another reality show, "Run For Time".
