Despite the postponement of his upcoming drama, "Written in Our Stars", due to co-star Toni Gonzaga's pregnancy, actor Piolo Pascual stated that he has no qualms about waiting for it as long as he could.
According to PEP News, the actor, who attended the press conference of his new movie "Love Me Tomorrow" in Quezon City recently, stressed that his co-star's unexpected pregnancy was a blessing in disguise for him, since it meant that he was able to focus on other projects for the time being.
"I have done dozens of soaps, about twelve soaps in the span of my 18 years of career in the business. So I would like to focus on making movies. And I'm very much part of ASAP," he said.
Pascual also stated that Gonzaga has promised to return to the halted drama in January 2017 after the birth of her baby, although he told the actress that there is no need for her to rush it.
"I told her to rest. She needs time to be with her family, and her new baby," he said.
Pascual also stated that he declined the offer from the studio to replace Gonzaga.
"We were shooting for almost half a year already. We would have done in another two weeks. It would just be a waste to redo it again," he said.
As for Gonzaga, Pascual said that she still wanted to do the series, since they have never filmed a TV drama together before.
