Richard Gomez will halt acting career if he wins election

Richard Gomez is ready to let go of his acting career, at least for a while, if he is elected mayor of Ormoc City, Leyte.

As reported on Rappler News, the "Walang Hanggan" actor, who is currently running for the aforementioned post, stated that he will focus on his constituents if he wins, calling it a 'full-time job'. 

"This will be the priority. I have already spoken to ABS-CBN about it. I have contracts remaining there, and I said, just next time," said Gomez. 

Gomez said that though his priority will always be his family, he will put the people's needs ahead of his own if he wins the election. 

This is the second time Gomez is running against incumbent mayor, Edward Codilla. The actor lost in their previous face-off back in 2013.
