Actress Mariel Rodriguez and husband Robin Padilla have recently confirmed rumours that they are expecting their first baby together.
As reported on Rappler News, the actress, who made the announcement on her noontime show "It's Showtime" on 21 May, shared a group photo of the show's cast and crew on Instagram, and wrote, "Thank you showtime family! We are going to have a baby! I'm pregnant! [Please] include us in your prayers! [Thank] you."
Husband Robin Padilla also took to social media to express his thoughts about the pregnancy the same day.
Padilla attributed their happiness to the support from the show, saying, "You came into her life in the moment when she was in sadness. You became the reason she smiles and remains hopeful everyday, waking up at six in the morning and ready to be your host, friends and family. You served as a miracle for her because the truth was there was a possibility that she cannot have a child anymore."
Rodriguez previously admitted to have experienced miscarriage twice since her marriage to Padilla. Her first miscarriage, which happened in March 2015, was followed by another one in August – which she later found out to be triplets.
The actress admitted in the previous interview that she would have drowned in her own sorrows if not for Padilla's love and support.
