Wan Hanafi Su is excited for his film to be screened at Cannes

Local actor Wan Hanafi Su is overjoyed that his film, "Apprentice", a Singaporean production has been chosen to have its premiere at Cannes, France. 

"All this while I've been dreaming about my film being shown at Cannes. Only now that I'm 66-years-old has this wish of mine become true. It is truly very touching," said the actor to Astro Awani. 

According to Wan Hanafi, the chance for him to attend the prestigious Cannes film festival is a mark of satisfaction for most actors. 

He added the premiere of the movie at the festival has made him glad that the film will now be seen by audiences from around the world. 

Directed by Boo Junfeng, "Apprentice" is the filmmaker's second film to date which has been chosen to be screened at Cannes. 

After the screening of the film on 17 May, "Apprentice" will then go to cinemas in Singapore, Germany, France, Hong Kong and Qatar.
