Chinese actress Yang Mi is finally making her comeback to television through her new drama, "Les Interpretes".
As reported on On CC News, the actress, who has been focusing on making movies for the last two years, plays the role of a stubborn university student who has to endure the unconventional teachings of her French interpreter teacher (played by Huang Xuan).
At the Zhejiang press conference to promote the new drama, Yang admitted that she has been learning the French language specifically for her role and that it had been a difficult and long process. She has also cut her long locks to give viewers a fresher look as it has been a while since she starred in a drama.
"Les Interpretes" was shot in various overseas locations including France and is based on a novel of the same name written by Miao Juan.
It co-stars Gao Weiguang, Zhang Yunlong and Zhou Qiqi.
