Spanish artist Claudia Sahuquillo has decided to embrace nudity and swap out her pen and paper for the human body.
She has started a series called Skin is the New Canvas on Instagram to break the stigma around naked bodies and empower nudity.
Her amazing body art has become a phenomenon on Instagram and already earned her 50k followers.
Through her series she hopes to celebrate biological factors as unique, highlighting people’s imperfections, birthmarks, one brush stroke at a time.
It’s all about body positivity and creativity. Using many of the same themes and patterns she uses the contours of the body to enhance her artwork.
Despite strict Instagram rules about nudity – that don’t allow photos of women breastfeeding – she regularly shares images of painted nipples.
Her public show in Barcelona has up to 20 people a day showing up to support her campaign to de-stigmatise nudity.
