Helen Strickland is attending a memorial service for her husband, Craig, on Tuesday evening, after the country singer and his friend died during a recent hunting trip. On Monday, she shared a heartbreaking photo while also asking fans for prayers.
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,” wrote Helen, citing Bible verse, Philippians 4:13. “Dear friends, please pray that I may have strength tomorrow as I walk through the most difficult experience I’ve ever gone through in my life.”
“I am so thankful for every moment I had with Craig and I am thankful the Lord is taking care of him now,” she continued. “More than ever our family will need your prayers. I’m so thankful for every person that has poured out their love to us. If you are unable to physically attend, I hope that you will join our family via webcast at crosschurch.com/watchlive. The Backroad Anthem singer’s memorial is being held in Rogers, Arkansas at 6 p.m., and being streamed online for those who cannot attend.
