Now Cheryl Fernandez-Versini – or ‘Cheryl’ as she prefers – caused a meltdown among fans on the social network last night when she appeared at the Brit Awards looking as if she’d recently had a few burgers.
Users gushed she looked ‘1000% happier and healthier’ for putting on a few pounds since she was savaged during the last series of X Factor for being ‘too thin’.
The singer was the centre of attention on Twitter as she was introduced at the Brits in London’s O2 Arena as ‘Cheryl’ to present Best Breakthrough Act award with former X Factor co-star Nick Grimshaw, below.
The 32-year-old also seemed to have temporarily put the heartbreak of her recent separation with Frenchman Jean Bernard to one side as she turned up not wearing her wedding ring and grinned throughout her time in the spotlight on stage.
