But while Sunday evening is set to be a chilly one, it looks like there will be no need for raincoats or wellies.

Met Office meteorologist Alex Burkill said it is “unlikely” showers will reach central London, and although he said he would not rule it out, there is less than a 10% chance of rain in the capital.

He said it would be rather cloudy, adding: “I’d say the umbrellas can stay at home. It’ll be a little bit breezy.”

It could be around 2C (35.6F) to 3C (37.4F) by 9pm – meaning guests should think about wearing a warm coat.
