Donald Trump’s political campaign has been dealt a blow as there is one endorsement he has yet to secure: the right to use Adele’s music.
The property tycoon and TV personality has reportedly been using the British star’s songs in his political campaigns as part of his bid for the American presidency.
Republican candidate Trump, whose slogan is “Make America great again”, is reported to have been playing Adele’s hit Rolling In The Deep as “warm-up” music.
“Adele has not given permission for her music to be used for any political campaigning,” her spokesman confirmed.
He came on stage to the hit song during a rally held in Lexington, South Carolina, prompting BBC’s North America Editor Jon Sopel to comment on Twitter that it was an “unlikely combo”.
