A member of the public has unwittingly snapped up a piece of royal history after buying the Queen's used Jaguar online. The monarch's 2009 X-type Jaguar was sold by London-based car firm Fletchdale Limited, who said the buyer didn't realise they were purchasing from the Queen.
The car, which comes complete with heated seats, parking sensors and a dog grille, was sold for £15,000. It had just 7,600 miles on the clock at the time of sale despite being seven years old.
"It went to a buyer unaware of its former owner," a spokesman for the company told The Sun. "Someone unwittingly bought a slice of royalty."
The Queen was spotted driving the three-litre V6 Sovereign model around Windsor last summer, but recently decided to sell it. Although Her Majesty has a personal chauffeur, she is often seen driving herself around the Sandringham estate in her Range Rover – just one of many luxury cars owned by the Queen.
