Winning is easy, young man, finding time to celebrate is harder. That is, if you're Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda.
The 36-year-old Broadway superstar -- who rose to fame with In the Heights before writing and starring in what has arguably become the most popular and important musical of the 21st century -- took to Twitter on Monday to celebrate the show's latest acclaim: a Pulitzer Prize.
According to his Twitter feed, Miranda was in the studio before the news broke, working on demos for the upcoming Disney animated film, Moana. He even tweeted, "Don't do anything crazy without me, world."
It's the centennial year for the Pulitzer Prize awards, which are announced by Columbia University, and the honor is just the latest for the highly acclaimed hot ticket musical on its way to an anticipated major win at June's Tony Awards. Hamilton has already won countless awards since making its way to Broadway in August 2015, including a slew of Drama Desk honors, an NAACP Image Award, and a GRAMMY for Best Musical Theater Album. The cast album was also named by Billboard and Rolling Stone in their lists of the Top 10 Albums of 2015.
