While the countdown to the end of ATV begins today, its former Executive Director Ip Ka Po appeared in West Kowloon's Dragon Centre to promote his new book, "Meet Again By Fate: My Last Year At ATV".
As reported on The Standard, just like its title, the book chronicles Ip's own journey and experience of working at the station for 26 years.
Ip stated that although he has recorded all the difficulties he faced a year ago in his own personal blog while he was still Executive Director, there were things that he had to keep to himself because of his position.
Thus, he believes that the release of the book was necessary, as a reminder for Hong Kong citizens to never give up in the face of adversity.
Among the issues he discussed in the book are his experience going to court to handle the station's salary issue and his thoughts on the various programmes that ATV produced throughout the years.
Meanwhile, when asked why he is not with the others at ATV to bid his farewell as it close its curtain at 11.59pm tonight, Ip stated that everybody has their way to reminisce, and he decided to do it at home instead.
