Pratyusha Banerjee, who allegedly committed suicide on Friday, was found hanging from the ceiling, by her boyfriend, at her Mumbai residence and he then rushed her to the hospital, where she was declared dead.
Buzz has it that Pratyusha took the drastic step because of relationship woes. Reportedly, she wasn't happy with the way things were shaping up between her and her actor-producer boyfriend. Though it was Rahul, who admitted her to the hospital, he soon went missing. He had even switched off his phone but now, he has given his statement to the cops.
In his statement to the police, Rahul said that they used to stay in a two bedroom flat and had two keys to the apartment, out of which one used be with Pratyusha and one with him. He stated that when he entered the bedroom, on Friday, he found her hanging from the ceiling.
He further revealed that he called the neighbours and with their help took her to Kokilaben Hospital, assuming that she was still alive but she wasn't. He said that he didn't inform the police as he got very scared and that the hospital authorities informed them. After she was declared dead, he called up her family members and close friends.
Pratyusha was soon to get married to Rahul and the duo also participated in reality show Power Couple.
