The 17th series of Big Brother is edging ever closer, and now the theme of the new house design has been unveiled, along with a selection of press photos.
Previous series’ themes have included ‘Secrets and Lies’, ‘Power Trip’ and ‘Timebomb’, but this summer we can expect ‘Paranoia.’

A description of the upcoming series revealed: “From Day One the Housemates will be under attack from an unseen ominous dark force that will have a dramatic and divisive effect on the House.
“Whilst things may appear to be straight forward Big Brother will ensure that no-one will have the entire picture. There may even be deeper connections at work?”
So, in other words, the viewers (and the housemates) should be on a ‘high drama’ alert over the course of the next series.

The official release then ominously adds: “The Housemates are not alone and they should be prepared for paranoia and suspicion.
“Viewers should prepare for a ‘yin and yang’ style force to evolve Big Brother for a new generation.”
The fact that the housemates are ‘not alone’ will only serve to fuel any rumours about there being a two-house divide, with celebrities battling ‘civilian’ housemates.
