The remake of Chef, a Hollywood movie, which stars Saif Ali Khan in the lead role will go on floors in October. Saif has just wrapped up the shoot of Rangoon and is currently dubbing for the film.
According to a leading daily, the makers of the Chef remake are waiting out Saif’s commitments since they believe his availability can be a problem if he works on multiple projects.
Raja Menon, who will be directing the film, said in an interview, “We have just started the preparation for the film. We are thinking of starting the film post September specifically because of the rains. The film will be largely shot in six to seven locations in North and South of India. There’s a lot of travel involved in the film, so it will be ideal to start the film only post rains.”
Saif’s involvement in Rangoon’s promotions is also a reason behind the delay. Raja added, “The only reason we want to start the film post the release of Rangoon is because Saif will also be promoting the film, so his availability might be a concern.”
