Rumours have been going around that Jennylyn Mercado has been considered as the female lead for the upcoming Filipino remake of hit Korean drama, "My Love From the Stars", but according to the actress, she has heard nothing of the sort.
As reported on PEP News, the actress, who was filming her new GMA-7 show "Dishkarte of the Day" in Quezon City recently, stated that she doesn't know anything about the project, which is set to star Alden Richards.
Asked if she would be willing to star with Richards, Mercado responded, "With Alden? Why not? It's just work."
As to her thoughts upon being told that she may portray the role of Cheon Song-yi that was originally played by Korean actress Jun Ji-hyun, Mercado expressed with a laugh, "I wish... I hope! Who would refuse a wonderful project like that?"
Mercado also said that she would not worry about the backlash she would get from others, especially fans of Richards and his onscreen partner, Maine Mendoza, who would prefer the latter to play the character. ALDUB
"I would just ignore [them]," she said.
