They've been married for almost a year and Peter Andre has revealed his wife has taken his name – and is now Emily Andrea. Singer Pete revealed that Emily made the change as soon as they tied the knot, despite what some may think.
Pete, 43, used his magazine column to confirm the news, adding that doctor Emily, 26, is over-the-moon with her new name. He told new! Magazine: "It's funny that people still Emily's last name is MacDonagh, but it's actually Andrea – pronounced Andre."
Dad-of-three Pete added: "She changed it as soon as we got married and loves using it."
Speaking shortly after the wedding, Pete said: "I'm so delighted to tell you all that yes, Ems and I tied the knot at the weekend. Ems looked beautiful."
Their big day took place at the luxury Mamhead House in Exeter, and guests were treated to traditional African dancers and even a performance from Pete himself.
Fans of the couple could be in for a treat as their one-year anniversary approaches, as Mysterious Girl singer Pete teased how he plans to mark the occasion.
He continued: "I haven't discussed it with anyone but I'm thinking of releasing a 10-minute video of our wedding highlights. I think it would be a great way to mark the day for our family, friends and all the lovely people who want to support us."
