Angelababy Wasn’t the Only One to Spend Millions on Her Wedding

The average cost of a wedding in the United States is currently around $30,000. One-third of couples put expenses on their credit cards, and some even take out loans to fund their dream weddings. For 99 percent of the soon-to-be-betrothed population, financing a wedding isn’t easy and takes planning. But for the one percent, planning is a little different: Do you want a horse-drawn carriage or a Maserati to take you to the chapel? Custom Valentino gown or Elie Saab? Confetti to throw in the air, or cash? Live band or DJ? Not so much. Instead, the struggle is Jennifer Lopez or John Legend?  Angelababy married Huang Xiaoming on Oct. 10 at the Shanghai Exhibition Center.

Angelababy had multiple outfit changes, including two custom gowns from Dior Couture and Elie Saab. Huang Xiaoming wore a Tom Ford tuxedo.

Prince Carl Philip of Sweden married former lingerie model and reality star turned princess Sofia Hellqvist on June 15.

Model (make that Playboy bunny) Hope Dworaczyk married financier Robert Smith on July 25. 

“Let the wife make the husband glad to come home, and let him make her sorry to see him leave,” Dworaczyk shared on Instagram. 

Ambassador Uwadiae Osawaru, the president of the Dons Club of Europe, married his now-wife, Maureen, in Austria. 

Sanjay Hinduja married Anu Mahtani on Feb. 6 in India. Jennifer Lopez flew out for the occasion.
