It was just a short while ago that Aamir Khan became the talk of the town courtesy his views on intolerance in India. At a recent event, which was held to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Rang De Basanti, the actor cleared the air on the issue and said that, contrary to what had previously been reported, he had never even thought of leaving the country for good. Moreover, ‘Mr Perfectionist’ emphasized that he feels homesick every time he was on foreign soil.
“Some have understood and some are angry. I understand it. But it wasn’t told right. They were told ’ There has been misunderstanding. Would want to clarify. I was born here and will die here. I haven’t thought of leaving the country and Kiran and I will never take a step like this. When I am abroad, I feel homesick in two weeks.”, said the PK star.
The 50-year-old further added that that India’s unity was its greatest stregth and some people were wrongly spreading negative things about it.
“I love my country very much. There are few people spreading negative things right now. I would request them not to do it. I wanted to convey this. I haven’t said India is intolerant and that I want to leave the country.”, he clarified.
