Lady Gaga to Perform High-Tech ‘Experiential Tribute’ to David Bowie at Grammys

This morning, the Recording Academy announced that Lady Gaga will perform an “experiential tribute” to Bowie at the upcoming Grammy Awards. A press release explained: “The tribute will be a multisensory testament to the icon’s incredible artistry and a reflection of his limitless creativity.”

This “multisensory testament” is at least partially thanks to Intel, which after the announcement, tweeted: “Intel tech meets @LadyGaga’s unique artistry at the #GRAMMYs”

The tweet links to a video showing a possible sneak peek at what the Bowie tribute might look like – Gaga is encased in a spinning hologram cube - along with the singer speaking about their partnership: “Intel has enlisted the Haus of Gaga to collaborate on a project that will showcase technology through creativity at the highest level.”

But forward-looking tech isn’t the only draw for Gaga’s upcoming performance. Three-time Grammy winner Nile Rodgers, who worked with Bowie on their 1983 smash hit “Let’s Dance,” will serve as the musical director for the tribute.
