Khloe Kardashian had racism "thrown in her face" during her marriage to Lamar Odom.
The reality star tied the knot with the basketball player in 2009 and while they ended their marriage in late 2013, the pair have yet to finalise their divorce. Speaking on her talk show Kocktails with Khloe, the 31-year-old TV personality revealed their union was the target of racism, especially when Lamar joined the team Dallas Mavericks in 2011.
"I was in an interracial marriage," she explains on Wednesday night's (16Mar16) episode. "I would never think to have to say, 'Oh, by the way, my husband's black, so when he comes in, don't let your jaw drop.'
"When I moved to Dallas was the first time that was thrown in my face."
It wasn't the only time she'd experienced the issue though, as she remembers vividly how her family was treated when her father Robert Kardashian legally defended O.J. Simpson. The case, which is currently being retold on the small screen in TV show The People v OJ Simpson: American Crime Story, involved black sportsman O.J. being tried for the 1994 murder of his wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman.
“(It was) the first time I really experienced a ton of racism,” Khloe recalled.
