Though the two remain legally wed since Kardashian called off their protracted divorce following Odom’s near-fatal overdose last October, a source tells PEOPLE that the reality star is “ready to move on” and plans to pick up their divorce proceedings.
“She doesn’t agree with some of Lamar’s choices in the past few week,” says the source. “She plans on refiling for divorce soon. She and Lamar are just figuring out the finances first.”
“Khloé was there for Lamar when he needed her,” continues the source. “She spent months making sure he got the best care and was able to recover. Lamar was her main focus, and it was draining for her. Lamar is ready to be on his own now.”
The source added that the exes will “always be friends, but Khloé is ready to move on.”
Indeed, Kardashian, 31, was a major source of emotional and financial support for her estranged husband in the months since he was hospitalized after being found unconscious in a Nevada brothel Oct. 13, staying day and night by his hospital bedside, making sure he received the best medical treatment and helping him move into a leased home in the same gated community as her to continue his recovery.
In recent weeks, the former NBA star, 36, has spent time with Kardashian and her family, but after he was spotted out with friends drinking at a bar last month, a source told PEOPLE Kardashian was “very worried about Lamar and his behavior but Lamar refuses to listen to her.”
Another source recently told PEOPLE the two are “definitely not getting back together,” and on Sunday the reality star posted a lengthy and emotional Instagram message, writing: “Sometimes the person you want most is the person you’re best without.”
