Hong Kong-born Chinese rapper and member of K-pop group GOT7, Jackson Wang admitted that he had rejected offers from prestigious universities to achieve his dream of becoming a singer.
As reported on News Everyday, the rapper, who appeared on the Chinese show, "Please Take Care of My Refrigerator", stated that he received an offer to continue his studies both from Stanford University and the University of Hong Kong.
The former member of Hong Kong's national fencing team shared that he told his father about his dream of becoming an artiste when the offer first came to him.
"He didn't think much about it at first. But when I actually brought the trainee contract to him, he was so surprised that he was at loss for words," said Jackson.
The singer, however, didn't regret the choice he made, saying, "No matter if I succeed or not, I just want to try many different things."
