Toni Gonzaga admits she had a delicate first trimester

Toni Gonzaga recently revealed the reason why she decided to keep her pregnancy a secret earlier, saying that the first few months were quite a delicate time for her. 

As reported on Rappler, the actress, who made an official announcement about her pregnancy through her Sunday variety show "ASAP" last month, shared, "I've experienced bleeding and haemorrhage, and I was asked to take pregnancy medicine." 

It was only after her condition had stabilised that she decided to share the news with the public. 

Gonzaga, who is currently five months pregnant, stated that she and director husband, Paul Soriano, didn't plan to have a baby this early in their marriage. They have now accepted the pregnancy with open arms. 

"When the test came out positive, I fell down on my knees with surprise. I was in the CR at that time. I felt my knees getting weak. So I held onto the sink, and just cried," she said. 

Toni, who will be celebrating her wedding anniversary with husband of one year next month, also said that the baby's gender will be revealed some time this month.
