Bella Hadid and The Weeknd Make Their First Red Carpet Appearance as a Couple at the Grammys

Though they haven’t been the most forthcoming about their relationship, their affection for each other was clear on Monday night, as the 25-year-old singer wrapped his arm around his gal pal’s (exposed) waist, and she planted a kiss on his cheek. If he was nervous about his potential wins or losses, it certainly didn’t show.

Prior to tonight, Hadid and The Weeknd had been snapped sitting in the front row at Alexander Wang’s Spring 2016 show and occasionally entering or leaving various A-list events. Their relationship isn’t all play, though! Hadid and The Weeknd have collaborated, too, as she appeared in his video for “In the Night.”

Ah, young love. It’s a grand thing — especially if you’re Bella Hadid and The Weeknd (real name Abel Tesfaye). The stars have been dating for the better part of a year, but have somehow managed to avoid hitting any red carpets together… until now.

There was speculation as to whether the 19-year-old model would make it to the Grammys to support her man, since the awards show falls smack in the middle of New York Fashion Week. Apparently, The Weeknd’s seven nominations — which include some biggies like Album of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance — were reason enough for Hadid to put his big night before her work, at least for a day or two, because she showed up on his arm for the celebration.

Hadid posted a red carpet photo of them to Instagram, captioned: “This is YOUR day baby! I’m so proud of you. I feel so lucky to be by your side.”

The couple chose all-black ensembles —The Weeknd in a black tux complete with a black shirt and black bow tie, and Hadid in a superslinky, supersparkly black cutout Alexandre Vauthier haute couture gown with a plunging neckline.
