Last year Zayn Malik broke our hearts when he admitted that he had not been in touch with his former One Direction bandmates since he sensationally quit mid-tour in March.
In fact, Zayn went so far as to say that he’d reached out to various members but some had even changed their phone numbers on him or simply would not respond.
Thankfully, the 23 year old has now revealed some great news; announcing that he is back in contact with Liam Payne and the two have finally rekindled their friendship.
YAY.
Unfortunately they are still to see one another in person but Zayn insisted that he now has regular phone conversations with the 22 year old and they even congratulated eachother on their successes.
He explained: “I’m still probably the closest to Liam. We talk on the phone. He congratulated me on my single, which was nice. I congratulated him on his Brit Award.
"It was a good chat. We haven’t met up in a long time so we want to meet up.”
A #Ziam reunion? All we can say is that there better be photos…
Asked by NME magazine why he doesn’t have contact with Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, and Niall Horan, Zayn continued: “I tried to have contact but nobody’s reached out. So… whatever.”
