Elodie Yung is bringing her own kick-ass style to Daredevil season two as assassin Elektra – complete with her real life black belt skills.
The French actress joined the hit Netflix show for the new 13-episode run which debuts today, and the show’s bosses admitted casting the crucial role was a big challenge.
But let’s be honest, anyone that looks this much at home armed with Elektra’s trademark sais has got danger written all over her:
Elodie will have a major role in the season which sees Charlie Cox returning as Matt Murdock aka crime-fighting vigilante Daredevil.
Before landing the part of aristocratic Elektra Natchios, an old flame who re-enters Daredevil’s life, Elodie wasn’t even told exactly what role she was going for when she auditioned.
“The only thing I knew at first was that this girl would travel the world and she was well-educated, but really, that’s it,” said the Paris-born star. “They wanted to see the range I think, because Elektra’s very complex.”
